Building Smiles

Hi everyone! My name is Joshua Kalarical, and I am the Co-Founder and President of Giving Heart. I am currently a rising junior at Lake Zurich High School. As an aspiring doctor, I am dedicated to serving my community. Through volunteering at local hospitals and shelters, I’ve seen firsthand the struggles people go through regarding inadequate, lack of education, etc. Motivated to create a community where everyone has the basic necessities for survival, I helped establish Giving Heart. In my school, I am a part of multiple leadership groups such as the National Honors Society and Tri-M Music Honors Society. Outside of school, I am also the Secretary of the non-profit organization Tutor4Service. Besides volunteering, in my free time, I enjoy playing the bass, reading, playing tennis and basketball, and hanging out with my friends. I am very proud to establish this organization and I cannot wait to continually see it develop and grow!

Hello, my name is Aarav Patel, and I am the Co-Founder and President of Giving Heart. I am a rising junior at Lake Zurich High School and am driven by a powerful mission to impact the world. As the founder of Giving Heart, I am dedicated to making a significant difference in people's lives by transforming their aspirations into reality. Since the age of 11, I’ve been volunteering at local homeless shelters; I’ve witnessed firsthand the hardships faced by those in need, so I was inspired to co-establish Giving Heart. Through my passion for serving, I’ve also established Scholar's Pathway, a peer-based mentorship program at Lake Zurich High School, and I am also a volunteer at Advocate Good Shepherd's Endoscopy and GI laboratory. In my free time, I like to hang out with my friends, watch sports, and read! I am excited to establish this organization and work toward making a positive impact on my community!
